irst and foremost I am praying for our Nation, President Trump, his Administration, and all whose health and well being are daily impacted by Covid-19.For those who may not know, on Jan. 9th I suffered a splenic artery aneurysm (SAA), which is a rare condition. The diameter of the splenic artery dilates to over 1 cm. SAA rupture is associated with relatively high mortality. Had it not been for my amazing husband’s persistent push for care and the wonderful paramedics, surgeons, and nurses, I would not be here today.
Everyone’s prayers have made a difference in my recovery and I am forever grateful. Because I had a full blood transfusion, there needs to be a time for healing. Therefore, I am taking a sabbatical away from teaching workshops and conference calls for now. Especially, in light of my weak immune system in these Covid-19 times. I strongly encourage you, if possible, to donate blood to your local blood bank. It is what saved my life. The American Red Cross now faces a severe blood shortage due to an unprecedented number of blood drive cancellations during this coronavirus outbreak. Healthy individuals are needed to donate now to help patients counting on lifesaving blood.

I am getting stronger daily and look forward to getting back on the battlefield with my fellow patriots soon. Lastly, I am very grateful for all of you who stepped up and made the Women on the Wall (WOW) Texas Hill Country Summit an amazing success. All your work has not gone unnoticed and is so appreciated.
